Snack Presentation and Stark Parks!

We have had a busy few weeks.  Last Thursday Mrs. Galada and Mrs. Gilbert came to talk to us about healthy snacks. They taught us good choices and bad choices for daily snacks.  Click here to view the letter sent home about healthy snacks in our classroom.

We also had some visitors from the Stark Parks come to see us.  They taught us about living vs non living and pretend vs real. We got to see a real turtle shell, a living tortoise, real owl feathers, and an eastern screech owl!  We also saw some pretends things.  We learned how to tell the difference between living and non living things!  Ask me about 'Fox ears'.... We learned a lot about foxes.  Click here to go to the Stark Parks webpage and learn more.  They have many programs and places to visit.

Here is a message from our Star of the Week, Isaiah:

Hi, I'm Isaiah. I like kindergarten and Mrs. Dills.  We had a good report at art.  We read a book called "Bear Snores On".  It was funny and a fantasy story.

Here is a message from our Star of the Week, Jay!

We started making turkeys.  We had a bad report in Art today but we'll do better next time!  We're going to do something fun with the pumpkins.  We're going to open it up and count the seeds and count the goo, I mean the pulp.  I just learned that word.  My mom looks beautiful.  My dad went on vacation and I miss him.  Hi, Dad!

We had a blast creating songs and dances for some of our new sight words.  They created their songs all on their own!
