Blizzard Bag #2 for Wednesday, January 29th

Below are the assignments for your child to complete for the Blizzard Bag #2 project.

As per board policy, students are permitted 2 weeks to complete these activities. Let me know if you are unable to complete these and I will send home hard copies for your child to complete.

Click here to find a checklist of the activities for your child to complete. Please print and mark off those completed.  Turn this in along with any separate assignments when your child has completed all the tasks.
Checklist is at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwoScEJe9uKDTFc5dXFlTlptMWM/edit?usp=sharing

Here is a detailed description of each task to be completed:

Task #1:
Writing: Watch "Brave Irene" being read to you at http://www.storylineonline.net/brave-irene/

Write at least 3 sentences describing a different way Irene could have traveled to the palace.

You may use any paper you have at home. If you'd like writing paper here is a link to kindergarten writing paper:  http://www.first-school.ws/t/printable-writing-paper/primary-portrait-nf.htm

Task #2:
Math: Go to the following website and practice math addition problems for math facts 0-5.  This is a timed test to practice your math facts.  Do your best!   Print off 1 certificate at the end.

Task #3:
Math: Practice counting by 2’s  to 20.  You can use the video here for help or added fun (it goes all the way to 100)!

Task #4:
Sight Words: Complete the Sight Word Scramble found here.  Use the words in the box on the side of  the page to decode the scrambled words.

Task #5:Reading: Choose one of the stories below to read.  The top story (Can You Spot It?) is the most difficult and the bottom story (Hop On Top) is the most basic.

*Be sure your child is pointing under each word and stretching out unknown words.

Task #6
Science/Social Studies: Watch this video to review the four seasons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_P_5ruMLjI
Create a poster, illustrations, or diagram (you can make it on poster board or on the computer) showing the four different seasons.  Be sure to include the name of each season and 2 describing word for each season.

I hope you had fun! Let me know if you had any trouble.
